Ironvine Site Updates
The Ironvine Search Marketing blog site is getting some well needed updates slowly. The goal is to streamline the interface and increase the functionality of the site.
In the right menu you can check out the new Subscriptions section as one of the first updates.
Things to come include:
- A functional archive interface
- Re-structured sidebar

Yahoo Search Marketing 2.0 (Panama) Maximum Limits
Here is a quick reference guide to paid ad setup/creation limits in Yahoo Search Marketing 2.0 Panama Release. Below you will find the maximum number of Campaigns, Ad Groups, Keywords and Creatives you can have per account on Yahoo Panama.
Campaigns per Account: 20 campaigns
AdGroups per Campaign: 1000 keywords
Keywords per AdGroup: 1000 keywords
= Keywords per Campaign: 1 million (1,000,000) keywords
= Keywords per Account: 20 million (20,000,000) keywords
Creatives per AdGroup: 20 creatives (ad copy text)
Titles: 40 characters
Short Descriptions: 70 characters
Long Descriptions: 190 characters
Destination URL: 1024 characters
Display URL: 250 characters
During conversion from Yahoo 1.0 to Yahoo 2.0 (Panama) your current accounts are squeezed into these limits.
You can have over 20 campaigns if you currently have more, but will be unable to add anymore than the limit post conversion.
Keywords currently in categories will be split to fit into the Campaign > Ad Group > Keyword template.
Ad Groups are automatically created by pulling the Title from the Ad Copy.
Ad Groups will cap at 1000 keywords then create a new Ad Group; "[Title] 00001" if the [Title] is constant.

A: No, sorry. You need to have the ads placed on a page with content. Why? Well, thats how the ads are sent out based on content on the page, and well, you need to have some traffic to actually visit. No one wants to visit your AdSense alone.
Google AdSense Program Policies
* Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page.
* A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
* A single link unit may be placed on each Web site page, in addition to the ad units and search boxes specified above. Link units are considered to be 'Google ads' for purposes of these program policies.
* A single referral button per product may be placed on a page up to a maximum of 4 buttons, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above. Referral buttons are considered to be ‘Google ads’ for purposes of these program policies.
* No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
* No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed on any domain parking websites, pop-ups, pop-unders, or in any email.
* No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.
* Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads, and the ad colors must be such that any ad elements, including text and URL, are visible.
* Clicks on Google ads must not result in a new browser window being launched.
