I know this is a little off topic from search marketing but it does deal with online marketing so I thought I would branch out a bit today. eBay is updating some of its many categories based on community feedback and experts in the category fields.

The category structure will be updated in mid-January based on feedback received from the eBay Community and from experts in the affected fields. You may provide category structure feedback at any time by clicking here.

This probably isn’t huge news for a lot of people but it does show that online marketplaces are taking notice of sales and restructuring their interfaces after the first of the year to accommodate the things they have learned from the traumatic holiday sales rush season.

eBay also announced yesterday that they have purchased StubHub, a private (formerly now) ticket reseller market. Just in time for the football playoffs and starting the baseball season.
