Google Webmaster Guidelines Change

Google has changed its algorithm and updated the webmaster guidelines. Previously in the Google webmaster guidelines it stated:

Don't use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don't include these pages in our index.

They have removed this requirement and will now index dynamic URLs that use the &id= parameter. But, again, they still stress that long strings of parameters in a URL will cause indexing problems and recommend that you have those URLs changed to something more user-friendly. This can be accomplished with techniques like the mod_rewrite engine for Apache servers.
