Writely Becomes Google Docs
Writely has moved out of beta and has been integrated into Google Docs & Spreadsheets. It has been totally rebranded by Google to match their Personalized Homepage, Calendar, Spreadsheets, and Gmail, etc look.
I may miss the Writely look and branding, but the functionality seems to be the same. You are able to post to blogs and quite a few other features. They have also migrated the documents you had previously created at Writely so nothing "should" be missing during the conversion.
The Google Docs tool is a very well worked web application and works just as well as Microsoft Word for basic and intermediate document authoring.
